INGERSOLL EXPRESS ATOM REP VS. HAGERSVILLE HAWKS
The Ingersoll
Express played in Haggersville against The Hawks.
The first period started off with a penalty for Ingersoll, however the boys did a great job killing the penalty denying The Hawks any chance of scoring. Shortly after Hagersville get their own penalty but The Express can’t seem to get a goal. There are many great chances to score in the first period, but Ingersoll is denied every time. Hagersville opens the scoring for the night ending the first period 1-0 for The Hawks.
With a hard-fought period under their belt, The Express are not ready to give up and apply tons of pressure to the Hawks goalie. First Kaelan makes a strong attempt and Rydan gets two breakaway attempts but are all denied. Cameron gets a chance and scores to tie the game. The pressure is on to get ahead and both teams are fighting hard. Peter makes a great save to maintain the score, then a beautiful pass by Kaelan to Caleb on a breakaway, to score our second goal making it 2-1 for Ingersoll. With only a minute left of the second, Ingersoll gets another penalty giving The Hawks an advantage. They manage to tie up the game at the buzzer.
The third period was evenly matched with lots of fight from both teams. Peter is making lots of great saves to keep it tied but Haggersville is persistent and scores. It is now 3-2 for The Hawks. Peter shuts the door on many attempts keeping The Express still in it with time to tie it up. Unfortunately, the game ends with Haggersville Hawks taking home the win but it didn’t come easy. The Express send off the Hawks with a stick tap for their hard-fought win. Way to Go Express!
