INGERSOLL EXPRESS ATOM REP VS. AYR FLAMES
The Ingersoll Express played in Ayr against the
Flames on Saturday evening and from the beginning of the first period to the final
buzzer, there was nothing but excitement.
The first period was fast paced. Peter makes a great save half way through the period and there is a near miss by Kohen. Rydan scores on a shorthanded breakaway with three minutes left putting The Express on the board!
The second period had its moments of ups and downs. Ingersoll gets a second penalty and Peter once again makes a fabulous save. There was enough pressure in Ingersoll’s end and Ayr managed to sneak one in. With the game now tied 1-1, The Express are doing what they can to get ahead. The period ends with The Express getting a third penalty that carried into the third period.
It was super tight in the first five minutes of the third. The Flames score their second goal putting them in the lead, but Ingersoll responds almost immediately as Rydan tap one in that is assisted by Cameron. These boys are hungry for a win tonight! There is a near miss by Kaelan as Ingersoll works hard to get back in the lead, but soon after, Ayr scores again. They are ahead by one with five minutes left of the third period. Ingersoll gains a power play with just over two minutes left of the third and they are now fighting hard. The coaches are giving Peter a heads up that he might get pulled for an extra player on the ice. Just when we thought the game was done, Kohen scores a goal POINT NINE SECONDS left!!!!! There is so much excitement in the stands and on the bench. The Express happily accept a tie game and rush to Peter to celebrate. Way to go boy!
