Looking for Win #1!
On Saturday October 13th the Ingersoll Express Vision
Property Management Peewee LL1 team travelled to Tilsonburg looking for their
first win.
With their starting goalie out for the first few weeks, the team was looking for someone to fill the spot between the pipes. It only seemed fitting that D. Piper aka “Pipes” would step up for the team.
The Tilsonburg Tornadoes came on strong in the first period, but the Express were just as hungry, looking for that coveted first win. The action in the first period was intense and fast-paced. Express had a successful penalty kill, fighting off the Tornadoes’ attack. Both teams saw scoring chances but couldn’t find the back of the net, ending the period scoreless.
The second and third periods saw scoreless action from the Express team, while the Tornadoes scored 2 in each respectively. D. Piper faced a fury of shots during the game, however, the Express fell to the Tornadoes 4-0.
The Express team will continue their quest for the first win of the season at home on Monday October 15th against Norwich Knighthawks.
