Dove Dental Peewee AE vs Cayuga Stars Rep
On February 11th Ingersoll Express Dove Dental PeeWee AE's headed to Cayuga to meet the Stars rep team for the first time in the Southern Counties play downs.
Having played this team in a previous tournament, the boys were ready to play.
Period 1 seen Ingersoll get on the board first at 5:20. #6 L. Dewit fought for the puck behind the net. He spotted #19 A. Krajewski in front of the net, passed him the puck & Krajewski was able to find the back of the net. Only 8 seconds later, #9 K. Clifford took the puck right off the faceoff, streaked down the ice & scored bar down. At 1:41 #9 K. Clifford passed the puck to #5 G. Folkema who took a shot. #6 L. Dewit was waiting out front & tapped it into the net. Ingersoll is up 3-0. 41 seconds later the same 3 players teamed up again to close out the first period. #6 L. Dewit passed to #5 G. Folkema who found #9 K. Clifford who put the puck into the back of the net. End of 1st sees the Dove Dental boys leading 4-0.
Period 2 was slower paced with very few shots by Ingersoll. Cayuga outshot throughout the whole period but #1 E. Spence stood his ground & made great saves. With 1:53 left, Cayuga was able to sneak one past him. End of 2nd: Ingersoll 4 Cayuga 1.
Period 3 seen the Dove Dental boys outshoot Cayuga. With 5 minutes left, #14 B. Williams took the puck up the ice & put the puck right past the goalie.
Final: 5-1 Ingersoll. Great game boys!
