2017/18 Atom Rep Preseason has begun
"The biggest thing for me is the passion that I've always had for hockey. I remember growing up, no matter what I did in life, my parents always told me to try to do my best at it and be my best. I can say going through different things that that passion is the most important part. It's not skills or talent or any of that stuff." - Sidney Crosby

Our preseason began with a 2nd home (Thamesford) and home series with the Dorchester Dragons.
With the first game in Thamesford we had a great defensive battle. Resulting in a 0-0 tie which even though we want to win them all a tie is better than a loss any day.
Game two had us at The Flight Exec Centre in Dorchester. With our boys chomping at the bit to put a few pucks in the net, we again came out with a very fast pace of hockey. At 6:33 of the first period #17 Cole McNeil was able to get one past the Dorchester net minder.
Not to be out done though the Dragons battled back and were able to even the score at ones before the period would end.
The second period would be a battle of the back and forth having the Dragons take the lead and then our Express even it back up with a goal from #15 Jonah Martire assisted by #4 Urijah Jewkes and #13 Sam House. Almost as fast as we tied we took the lead with a goal from #3 Josh Robles assisted by #16 Brody Huitema.
With the game only seconds away from being finished due to time constraints the Dragons again evened the score at 3.
The final buzzer sounded with still almost 7 minutes on the clock of game time. Surprising the fans in the stands but again even in the preseason our boys are undefeated with a record of 0-0-2.

Now with our roster set we head into St.Mary's for a rubber match with full final rosters to see which team will come out on top of their 1 game a piece tryout match up.

Looking forward to a great fast pace year with these tremendous hockey players we have on our team.
With Coach Bill Huitema at the helm they are in for lots of hard work and great defensive hockey.
