Full Weekend for Unifor 3264 Bantam LL Team
The Unifor 3264 played a busy schedule this past weekend playing 3 games in 3 days and earning three out of a possible six points.

Ingersoll Bantam LL Unifor 3264 (1) @ Burford (1)

The team started out the weekend by travelling to Burford on Saturday to take on the Coyotes in an afternoon game. Some solid play by all earned the Ingersoll team a point as they tied the Coyotes 1-1.

Ingersoll opened the scoring at 2:33 of the first period when Evan Wade put a shot past the Burford goalie. The goal was assisted by Caleb Clifford and Tanner George. Ingersoll held the lead until the third period when Burford tied it up with 1:44.

Ingersoll Bantam LL Unifor 3264 (5) @ Norwich Knighthawks (2)

Sunday the team traveled to Norwich in what ended up being a penalty filled game as a total of 15 penalties were called. The Unifor team battled through and earned a 5-2 win over the home side.

Unifor held a 2-0 lead after the first period on goals by Liam Carson, assisted by Dylan Russell, and the second goal by Lucas White.

Norwich scored twice in the second to the game into the third period all tied up at 2-2. Despite being penalized five times in the third period the visitors found the back of the Norwich net three times on goals by Tanner George, Brydon Johnson, and Luke Heather to earn the victory.

Langton Leafs 1 (2) @ Ingersoll Unifor 3264 (0)

The final game of the weekend saw the Unifor 3264 side play a home game Monday night coming out on the wrong side of a 2-0 score.

The team started out with good pressure and skating but failed to generate many scoring chances. Best chance of the first period came when Kieghan Osmond raced down the right wing and beat two Langton defenders to the puck to put a shot on goal. However, the visitors left the first period with a 1-0 lead when a low shot beat Unifor 3264 goalie Dawson Sharpe low to the blocker side.

Sharpe made numerous outstanding saves through the game on a number of odd man rushes to keep the home side close but the visitors would add a late goal in the third to finish off the home side. The home side generated opportunities to score but at times would wait too long to get their shot off allowing the defense to get in position to block numerous shots.

The teams next game is Saturday January 21 when they play the Six Nations Blackhawks in Oshweken.

"Only one thing is ever guaranteed, that is that you will definitely not achieve the goal if you don't take the shot."-- Wayne Gretzky.
