1/9/17 Paris Wolfpack (4) @ Unifor (3)
Bantam Unifor LL team started off the second half of the season by hosting Paris Wolfpack #2 at the Ingersoll Arena.

After a lengthy layoff the home side was playing their second game in three days and took it to the visitors for most of the opening period.

The opening period once again saw Unifor moving the puck well and keeping the visitors out of the middle of the ice in the defensive zone.

Some good defensive plays and strong forecheck eventually paid off for the home side as they would end up taking the lead with 2:23 left in the period when #13 Caleb Clifford jumped on a loose puck in the crease and pushed it across the goal line.

Unifor would go up by two early in the second period when #16 Alex Barr made a great read at the Paris blue line and intercepted a clearing pass. Barr took a couple of strides in and snapped a wrist shot past the Wolfpack goalie to put the home side up by two just 1:59 in.

Unifor kept up the pressure and good defensive play but an unfortunate bounce off the back boards that went straight up in the air and back in front of the home teams net gave the visitors an easy goal to cut the lead in half.
The visitors would then force a couple of turnovers in the offensive zone on a tired home side whose forward line could not clear the zone and was caught on a long shift.

The home side would take the lead again just :20 seconds later when some good work by #11 Cam Dench and #17 Luke Heather led to poor rebound control by the Paris goalie allowing #8 Tanner George to jump on the free puck and put it into the net.

Ingersoll maintained the one goal advantage through the second period on some brilliant goaltending by #1 Dawson Sharpe. Sharpe made two flashy glove saves and a great pad save when Paris had a 2-0 breakaway thanks to a turnover just outside the Unifor blue line.

Unifor had an opportunity in the third period to put the game away when the visitors took two penalties giving the Ingersoll side a two man advantage for 1:06. Unifors best opportunity came at the end of the first penalty when #6 Liam Carson beat the goalie but rang the wrist shot off the post.

The visitors would tie the score again with 2:14 left in the game on a mis-read by the Unifor defence at the blue line. Paris would score the game winning goal on another Unifor turnover with :33 seconds left in the game.

The team is in action again at home on January 10, 2017 against the Waterford Wildcats. Game time is 7:15.
