Shooters Sports Photography at the Delhi Rockets Launchpad
The Delhi Rockets midget team readied their rink for Shooters Sports Photography. The first time this season these two teams would meet, proved to be an exciting match-up! And a shout-out to the Delhi officials who were the best officials this writer has seen anywhere so far this season.
Ingersoll would take the lead in the first period as Aaron Lonsberry scored the opening goal with some help from Craig Wild.
The second period saw Delhi open their own scoring, with triple, while Ingersoll’s Wild put one behind the Delhi goalie, with help from Lonsberry and Graydon MacDonald.
The excitement continued into the third period as Shooters Sports Photography scored one goal, two goals, THREE GOALS – tieing the game with only eighteen seconds left on the clock! Abram Saunders would take two of those goals, assisted by Braeden McNeil and Justin Burns; while the final Ingersoll goal was scored by Justin Koch assisted by Aaron Lonsberry.
Alas, seven seconds would disappear on the clock, taking the game to 11.7 seconds where Delhi would put one home, to take the win with a score of 6 to 5 over Shooters Sports. Nevertheless, it was a very exciting game!
