Warriors' Bid For Victory Rejected In Ingersoll
The Simcoe Warriors Midgets brought their strength to Ingersoll on January 16, 2017.  Within the first two minutes of the game against Shooters Sports Photography, Simcoe had flexed their muscles and beaten Ingersoll’s defense twice.

The second period saw Simcoe take a three nothing lead over Shooters Sports Photography, while the Ingersoll midget team tried to keep the warriors at bay.

As period three began, Simcoe was poised to take the game.  Then it happened:  Shooters Sports Photography flexed their own hockey muscles, and with assistance from Justin Koch, Aaron Lonsberry put Ingersoll on the board.  Shooters Sports Photography’s defensive line became a solid wall through which Simcoe Warriors’ shots would not – COULD NOT – pass.  Then with just over ten minutes left in the game, Koch did it again: this time assisting Kristopher Procter, who tipped the puck beyond the Simcoe goalie’s reach, and into the net for goal number two!

The excitement level in the arena was quickly rising, with Shooters’ fans sensing what was to come.  On the ice, the Ingersoll players had victory in their eyes.  The Simcoe players were desperately seeking to shut down their adversaries;  though this desperation would prove to be fruitless.  Less than a minute later, Lonsberry manufactured a breakaway.  With a Simcoe player on his heels, he charged at the goalie and took a shot - the goalie stopped it - Lonsberry wasn’t done:  He came around the net, grabbed his own rebound and shot that puck into the Simcoe net.

Shooters Sports Photography’s defensive line continued to Trump their opponents with a wall.  The clock showed one minute and ten seconds.  Time for a hat-trick!  Craig Wild assisted Lonsberry in scoring his third goal of the game – the go-ahead goal!

With continuing desperation, Simcoe pulled their goalie and play continued for only six seconds, when Ingersoll received a penalty.  Now, with just over a minute on the clock, Ingersoll had only four players supporting their incredible goalie, Bailey Parizeau.  Simcoe had six attackers on the ice with their hearts set on smashing Ingersoll’s defense and beating Parizeau.  A face-off and three seconds played.  Then another face-off, and six more seconds passed while electricity surged through the stands!  The clock continued its entropic march toward oblivion.   With only one point four seconds on the clock, Jordan Lahey sealed the Warriors’ fate as he put the puck into Simcoe’s empty net.

Shooters Sports Photography proudly took the win with a final score of five to three over the Warriors.
