Express Dominate in the Six
Novice Express Extend Win Streak to Two Games

The Searles Motor Products Novice REP Express team travelled to Six Nations to take on the Blackhawks.  The first frame was fast paced with the first whistle of the period coming in the final three minutes of the frame.  With just under two minutes to go Kolton Winkworth fed a pass back to the point for Sam House (Winkworth / Gregg) who scored past the great screens in front of the goalie from Ryan Gregg and Will Johnson.  Ingersoll was able to push one more goal in before the first period buzzer as the tandem of Josh Robles and Brody Huitema made some smooth D to D passing that allowed Huitema (Robles / Jewkes) once again to blast one from the point to give the Express a 2-0 lead.
Going into the second period the offensive pressure kept coming in waves as Urijah Jewkes (Stiles / Kish) was able to bang the loose puck in front of the net to give the Express a three goal lead. Jewkes (Huitema/ Stiles) answered the bell again with his second of the game to give the Express a nice 4-0 cushion. Will Johnson (House / Gregg) coasted in on break and snapped one past the out stretched glove the Blackhawks goalie for the fifth Experss goal of the afternoon.  The final goal of the game came shorthanded when Brody Huitema outmuscled a Blackhawk player in the corner and Sam House fed a streaking Ethan Kish (House / Huitema) up the middle for a breakaway goal locking down a 6-0 victory.
Riley Vyse faced six shots, while making a spectacular blocker / stick save to maintain his second shutout in back to back games.  With the victory the Express push their Southern Counties record to 5-1 this season.  Next up for the Express is the Caledonia Thunder who travel to the Madhouse on Mutual for a 6:00pm puck drop Thursday Night.  The Express will follow it up with their second tournament in Dorchester this weekend.
