OMHA Playoffs and The Road to Silver Stick
The first road of the OMHA playoffs started this month with our Searles Motor Products Novice Rep team meeting the Simcoe Warriors.
Also with the beginning of the new year means we are one step closer to International Silver Stick finals in St. Clair Shores Michigan.

After finishing out 2016 in second place just behind the Ayr Flames. Our Ingersoll Express Novice Rep Team also won our divisional round of the Silver Stick tournament in Wasaga Beach.
2017 would start off with the opening series of the OMHA finals against the Simcoe Warriors.
This Express train would be lead by our Netminder Riley Vyse and the impenetrable wall he has built around our crease. Riley and our defensive minded team have been playing shut down hockey for a little over a month. Our forwards battling hard on the back check and the pressure hockey we play on the forecheck our team has been riding a winning wave.
The three game series against Simcoe started on home ice January 12th and the outcome had our team on top with a 2-0 win. We would then travel down to Simcoe three days later for game two at Talbot Gardens. Game two had us on top once again but this time the train was on the Express tracks and we left Simcoe with a 2-0 lead in the series and 7-0 win on the score board. Game three and the final game before our quest to the silver stick championship would have us back on home ice. Sensing fear in the eyes of the Simcoe players our aggressive team hit the ice fast and hard and once again shut down the Warriors and closed the door to their dreams of the OMHA championship.
Having played a incredible defensive style of hockey with pressure in both ends of the ice we are riding high going into this weekends International Silver Stick Finals in St. Clair Shores Michigan.
Game one will have us on the road to redemption for our only regular season loss meeting the Ayr Flames at 12:30.
Game two once again will have us meeting the Mooretown JR.Flags again we will be out to show that we are a different team now then we were earlier in the season and plan to avenge the 2-1 loss in South Huron Tournament.

" The strongest people aren't always the people who win, but the people who don't give up when they lose"

Game three will have us pitted against the London Bandits AE team.
We are looking forward to a excellent showing and are dreaming of bringing home another banner to grace the rafters of the mad house on Mutual Street.
