Welcome to another year with the Ingersoll Express Novice Rep team sponsored by Searles Motor Products.
This year our first road game had the Express start out in Paris at the Brant Sports Complex. We could not have asked for a better way to start out on the road with a big 11-1 win for the Express.
The scoring started with the game clock reading 8:23 from #10 Ryan Gregg assisted by #2 Will Johnson. Then just over 3 minutes later #2 Will Johnson struck for the second of the game.
Ending out the first period #20 Jeremy Stiles hit the score sheet with assists coming from #4 Urijah Jewkes and #5 Ethan Kish.
With more coming on in the second with goals going to #4 Urijah Jewkes, #2 Will Johnson and #6 Kolten Winkworth and assist in the period going to #5 Ethan Kish, #7 Brody Huitema and then the unknown player #18 as the year goes on I am sure we will have some more random goals and assists coming from unknown players.
Not a team to take their foot off the pedal our Express kept the goal train moving. With a few positional changes our boys showed no signs of slowing down for their first experience on the big ice surface.
Goals in this period came from #3 Josh Robles (2), #2 Will Johnson (2), #12 Ben Randall the assists go to #7 Brody Huitema, #4 Urijah Jewkes, #20 Jeremy Stiles and #10 Ryan Gregg.
We can not forget #33 Riley Vyse between the pipes making some big saves and only letting the home team get one goal on the board. Great job Riley!
