Louie's Bantam Rep Continues SCMHA Playoffs
The Bantam Rep team is still dealing with players out due to injuries and has had three more games in Southern Counties playoffs recently and are still in the running. The Express hosted Tillsonburg Jan 23rd and Twin Centre on Jan 30 then headed to Oshweeken to take on Six Nations.
Ingersoll battled hard against Tillsonburg in a close game that had a scoreless 1rst period. The Express struck early in the 2nd with their only goal of the game put in the net by Alex Foster assisted by Justin Holmes. Tillsonburg would score two goals in the 2nd to make it a 2-1 game with a scoreless 3rd period. Ingersoll suffered another loss against Twin Centres 3-1. The only point put up for the Express came from Justin Holmes assisted by Liam Knox and Nathan Graham. Things turned around for the Express when they headed to face Six Nations. Ingersoll took control of the game and played smart. Maxx Shelton buried the first goal of the game at 10:21 in the 1rst assisted by Clayton Hammond, then the Express moved up another point in the 2nd with a goal coming from Justin Holmes at 10:59 assisted by Parker Hodgson. Six Nations got their only goal of the game shortly after that to end the game 2-1 Express. Goalie Carson Rachar played awesome to keep the enemy at bay. Next Southern Counties game Saturday night in Ingersoll against Caledonia.
