Busy Weekend for Verspeeten PeeWee team
The Verspeeten Cartage PeeWee LL team played 2 games this weekend. Saturday in Burford, and Sunday on home ice.
The first game of the weekend found the team in Burford. It was an evenly matched game with both teams trying hard for a win. The score stood at 2-0 until 4 minutes left of the 3 period when Matt Debruyn came from centre ice and scored, assisted by Zach Lewis and Ashton VanBeokel. It was like we ran out of time!
The second game of the weekend was Sunday on home ice. Eddie Ball got the game going with the first goal. But then Waterford came back with a vengeance scoring the next 7. With 10 seconds left in the game, Matt Debruyn got one more, assisted by Zach Lewis.
