A REAL WINNING TEAM
The IPC Ingersoll Tyke team travelled all the way to Aylmer on Friday December 28th and together they came back WINNERS!!
The kids were off to a great start during the early morning game, with a win against the home team Aylmer 3-0. Goals were scored by Ewan Spence, Tyler Watts and Alex Georgiou.
As the players…and parents began to wake up for the day, we enjoyed a high energy game against the ‘other’ Ingersoll team. IPC just squeaked past the Ingersoll Dairy Queen team by a score of 3-2. Goals for this game were scored by Parker Huitema, Nicholas Yoworski and Colton MacPherson. With lots of opportunities for all the kids, the players worked really hard to get our 3 goals past the hot Ingersoll goalie Nathan Pike. While our goalie Logan Bromley did an amazing job at keeping the score close at his end! A very exciting game, nail biting!
With their undefeated record during this short one day tournament, the team advanced to the finals and waited to see who they would play. The third game of the day was all about stamina; the kids dug deep and defeated the tired Aylmer team to take home the 2012 Championship! The final score was 6-1. Nicolas Yoworski had a 3 goal game, followed by Tyler Watts, Parker Huitema and Colton MacPherson each with 1 goal. Thanks goes to Logan Bromley for another successful game in net.
