Thamesford Pizza Gains Momentum
Ingersoll Thamesford Pizza came up on the short end in two games against Waterford January 15 and 17, but picked up momentum with a solid effort in the second.

In Waterford, Ingersoll fell behind early allowing a goal in the first shift.  Two minutes later Ingersoll evened the score on Colton Cameron’s second goal of the season.  In the second period Charlie Does rushed the puck the length of the ice again bringing Ingersoll within one.  The line of Visser, Cameron and Schneider came heartbreakingly close, when they left a puck lying on the goal line and then got on the scoreboard with Mason Schneider’s seventh goal of season.  Waterford, however, made the most of odd man rushes and players left open.
Final score, Ingersoll 3, Waterford 7

Monday night’s game began much like Saturday’s with Ingersoll falling behind early.  This time, however, Ingersoll came back with an energetic and physical performance, battling to the very last whistle.   In the first period Ingersoll killed off three penalties, controlling the play much of the time, only to see Waterford score their second as the period came to a close.   In the second period Ingersoll got on the board, when Alec Caperon scored on a set up from Riley Shannon and Max Chevrier.  Waterford again pulled ahead with minutes left in the period.  Ingersoll scored the only goal of the third when Jeff Couse scored his second of 2011.  With minutes left Ingersoll appeared to have tied the game when a referee signaled goal.  The goal, however, was disallowed.  Despite putting forth a valiant effort, Ingersoll fell short.
