Verspeeten Cartage vs Simcoe # 2 - Feb. 14/2011
This was a difficult game for the score keepers due to the numerous penalties for both teams. Verspeeten Cartage scored the first goal of the game in the opening minute of the first period with a pass from Kevin Cox to Austin George who netted the puck. This was followed by a goal from Simcoe to tie up the score. Through an Ingersoll powerplay, Verspeeten Cartage put the pressure on with a goal by Tanner Moon from a pass from Nick Likins to give the Ingersoll boys the lead.
In the second period, there were two Simcoe penalties and an Ingersoll penalty. This was followed by another goal by Moon from George and Zach Catry. To finish out the period, Tyler Goyette scored another for Ingersoll with help from teammates Cox and Cody Morrison.
The third period saw no change in the score even through three Ingersoll powerplays and six Simcoe powerplays. Both teams played strong.
Final score 4 - 1 Ingersoll.
