Game 1 Verspeeten Cartage vs Port Colborne Blue - March 5/2011

This was a challenging game for Verspeeten Cartage. Port Colborne slipped the puck by goalie Brady Harris in the final minute of the first period. The Ingersoll boys fought back and held off Port Colborne through three Port Colborne powerplays but all Ingersoll attempts to score were blocked.

Game 2 Verspeeten Cartage vs Port Colborne Red - March 5/2011

This was a well played game for Verspeeten Cartage. There were no goals scored in the first period even though Verspeeten Cartage got a penalty so Port Colborne got a powerplay. Ingersoll stayed strong to defend their net.

To open the second period Tanner Moon scored a goal from a pass from Tyler Goyette and Craig Wild. Then the Ingersoll boys started a powerplay  but then evened up the number of players with a penalty. No change in the score for the rest of the period.

In the third period, Ingersoll gained two powerplays and Aaron Lonsberry scored from a pass from Hayden Homewood and Gage Langille. Nick Likins then passed the puck to Noah Schonberger who netted the puck giving Ingersoll quite a lead. To finish out the period Port Colborne gained a powerplay but Verspeeten Cartage held their positions and stopped the puck giving goalie Brady Harris a shutout.

Final score 3 - 0 Ingersoll

Game 3 Verspeeten Cartage vs Mariposa - March 6/2011

This was a hard fought game for Verspeeten Cartage. The team really played well together keeping fans on the edge of their seats. Noah Schonberger scored the first goal of the game in the last half of the first period from a pass from Kevin Cox. This was followed by a Mariposa powerplay but the Ingersoll boys held them off.  Mariposa came back to score two goals putting them in the lead. Verspeeten Cartage fought back harder and gave it their all but unfortunately couldn't get another goal.

Final score 2 - 1 Mariposa

This put Verspeeten Cartage out of the finals but all the players should be commended for their tremendous effort and team spirit!
