Butterworth’s Service Centre - Atom LL, 2009-2010 (Ingersoll & District Minor Hockey)

  Van Beeks was hungry for victory as they faced Butterworth’s for the second time this week in a tremendously exciting game.  They were no match for Butterworth’s stellar defensive line consisting of Connor Young-Craig, Zachary Ackert, and Derek Neeb, all of whom assisted goals, and Riley Gillespie-Wilson who put one in during the third period.  Christian Clifford got his first hat trick this season, scoring last and bringing the final tally to 4-3 for Butterworth’s

Ingersoll took the ice with confidence; the teams seemed evenly matched. With less than three minutes left in the first period, Christian Clifford scored the first of two goals, assisted by Ben Anderson and Riley Gillespie-Wilson. Goaltender Josh Adams and the entire defensive line up performed brilliantly to remain on top in the second and third periods. Aaron Lonsberry took away a second consecutive hat trick along with a fourth goal, bringing the final tally to 6-2 for Butterworths.

Ingersoll Butterworths played a closely matched and hard-fought game against Waterford. Josh Adams gave a sound performance in net, making several key saves. Notching Ingersoll’s lone goal was Riley Gillespie-Wilson, assisted by Ben Anderson. Tristan Berto played solid on defense.

Butterworths Esso defeated Van Beeks Nursery 5-0 in the battle of Ingersoll. Leading Butterworths with two goals each, were Christian Clifford and Aaron Lonsberry, and Ben Andrews rounded out the scoring adding a single goal. Adding helpers were Zachary Ackert and Marcus Frizelle with two assists each, Justin Burns added a single helper, with Josh Adams earning his shut out in net.

Story by Jim O'Bright Butterworths Atoms recently lost a hard-fought and close decision to Port Dover by a score of 2-0. Although Ingersoll outskated and outplayed Port Dover, they ended up on the wrong side of the score sheet. Aaron Lonsberry and Christian Clifford were all over Port Dover but still could not ring the twine. ConnorYoung-Craig and Mike Veale were a solid team on defense.
