Notes
Ingersoll Express U9 MD played their first full ice game today and adapted well to new rules and full ice coverage.
First period ended with a score-less tie. Ingersoll fought hard to keep the puck out of their zone.
Second period brought two goals for Ingersoll, the first scored by center #10 Clark Whatley. The second goal scored shortly after by defender #17 Brayden Bartram. St. Mary's tied the game up with a power play goal late in the second period.
The third period brought one more goal for Ingersoll, scored by center #10 Clark Whatley and assisted by defense man #17 Brayden Bartram. St. Mary's was able to sneak in two more during the third period for a final score of 4-3 for St. Mary's.
Overall, a very well played game by both teams.
Congratulations to defense man #16 Owen Freeman on receiving player of the game! Great job leading defensively by sticking to your position, moving the puck up the boards and battling hard to get the puck out. Hardwork and determination pays off!
Great work, Ingersoll!
