U13 LL#1 Tirecraft February 19th Ayr Tournament
Game 1: against Caledonia
What a crazy winter drive it was for us heading the Ayr! But us hockey families aren't stopped by winter weather, especially when we have a tournament to win!
1st period- Carson W. #4 gets the puck at face off and takes a shot on Caledonia's net- saved. Caledonia is in our zone and shoots but misses. Maddox M. #11 passes to Kyle V. #10 but Caldonia's defence is all over us.
1st period continued- They get the puck again and get into our zone but Emily S. #3 strips it away from them. A.J. H. #8 and Sheldon W. #9 make some good passes to get into Caledonia's end but they lose the puck. Caledonia takes a shot on our net and scores a goal. Kyle V. #10 and Luke D. #13 keep working at getting a goal, back to Caledonia who try to score but #5 Liam K. blocks it.
2nd period- Caledonia gets the puck and shoots but misses, they try again but Greame F. #16 stops it. Caledonia shoots again and Brayden S. #19 clears the puck. Kyle V. #10 takes a shot, Carson W. #4 passes it back to Kyle V. #10 who shoots again. Cameron F. #18 works hard with A.J. H. #8 to get a goal. Aaron S. #12 doesn't let the puck cross the line and then Kyle V. #10 passes to Greame F. #16 who scores our first goal!
3rd period- Caledonia gets the puck and shoots but Logan W. #33 saves it. Sheldon W. #9 scores a goal! Followed by Kyle V. #10 getting another goal! Greame F. #16 passes to Emily S. #3 and shoots at net. Caledonia gets a breakaway but Logan W. #33 was ready to save that one too! Carson W. scores our fourth and last goal of the game making it a 4-1 win!
Game 2: against New Hamburg
Despite working hard, we didn't win this game. New Hamburg beat us 2-0.
