U13 LL#1 Tirecraft November 15th Home Game vs Port Dover
1st period- the first period started off with Port Dover getting the puck down to our end but Kyle #9 quickly got it back and took two shots on Port Dover. Port Dover had two back to back shots on our net, Logan #33 stopped them both times. Kyle #10, Sheldon #9 and A.J. #8 worked together with some great passes which led to A.J. #8 (assisted by Sheldon #9) scoring our first goal of the game! Port Dover got back to our end and took one shot on net, Cameron #18 skates the puck up to the opponents end and tried for another goal. Kyle #10 makes a good pass to Carson #4 who passes it up to Maddox #11 but Port Dover takes back the puck and comes back down to our net. Kyle #10 gets a breakaway and tries to score on Port Dover.
1st period continued- The puck gets down to the blue line but is stopped by Addy #17 doesn't let it pass. She passes it up to Graeme #16 who takes a shot on Port Dover. One more attempt to score from Port Dover on our net but Logan #33 saves it! Sheldon #9 gets a breakaway which is looking good but the 1st period ends before he can shoot.
2nd period- Luke #13 gets to the puck at face off and tries to get out of our end. Port Dover gets it but Dylan #15 takes it and passes up to Cameron #18 who takes a shot- so close! Carson #4 gets the rebound and is also close at scoring another goal! Nice team work from Maddox #11, Carson #4 and A.J. #8. Now Carson #4 passes to A.J. #8 who passes to Maddox #11 and scores! We get the puck again and this time Sheldon #9 assists Kyle #10 in scoring our third goal! Graeme #16 passes to Sheldon #9 who passes to Kyle #10 and quickly scores another goal! Port Dover gets the puck but Brayden#19 takes it away. Cameron #18 skates the puck up and scores the fifth goal! Port Dover works hard and gets a goal on our net. Aaron #12 skates the puck up and shoots on Port Dover's net. What an exciting period!
3rd period- Port Dover gets the puck at faceoff, but Liam #5 gets it out of our end. Nice passing by Carson #4, A.J. #8 and Maddox #11. Dylan #!5 doesn't let the puck pass the blue line. Graeme #16 passes to Kyle #!0 who passes to Carson #4 who takes a shot. Port Dover gets the puck and shoots- Logan #33 makes a nice glove save. Port Dover in our end again and shoots but Addy #17 blocks it. Port Dover shoots again and gets a second goal. Emily #3 works hard to get that puck out of our end. Our team kept trying but couldn't get another goal. Our defence worked hard not to let Port Dover score again! The period ended with a 5-2 Win for our team.
