Feb 3rd - Ingersoll Express vs Delhi Rockets
Feb 3 2019 Ingersoll Express Novice LL Butterworths vs Delhi Rockets 1st Period – We started the period in the Delhi end with #5 Eli getting himself in the right position in front of the net.   Then a great pass from Eli to Carson with Carson taking a shot on the Delhi net – blocked.   The teams were back and forth and both teams were making it a great game to watch.  1st goal went to Delhi at 5:53 with a shot that just slipped under our goalies leg.   1st penalty went to Ingersoll #18 Cameron at 2:08 for too many players on the ice during a shift change.   Despite being one short Henry #10 managed to get a shot on Delhi but no goal.  Period ended with another save by Logan.


2nd Period – Delhi penalty at 7:36 for slashing and we were on power play.    Great pass by #11 Kalvin.  Carson with a shot on Delhi net – blocked.  A fantastic pass from Kayden in center taking the face off in the Delhi end and getting it to Carson in front of the net – goalie blocked and covered.  2nd Penalty for Delhi at 2:09 for slashing and we were on power play again.   At 2:02 #2 Brayden Peter scored assisted by #9 Brayden Shorey bringing the game to 1-1. 

3rd Period –   The third period started with a penalty at 9:01 to #17 Kingsley for slashing.   No goals during the power play for Delhi but Logan made three great saves.  Carson regained the puck and a great shot that went off the crossbar.   Delhi took control and got a breakaway.  Liam #4 reaching the puck just in time to slow the shot on net.   Our third penalty came at 2:40 #17 slashing and it was a nailbitter.   With just over two minutes left we were tied and were now down a player.   With that #18 Cameron scored a short ended goal at 1:57.   Delhi pulled their goalie and the next two minutes were the longest two minutes with both teams putting in full effort.   Finally in the final seconds we were full force and managed to hold on to the win!

Great game Ingersoll Express and Delhi Rockets, both teams played hard and it was a fantastic game to watch.

Congratulations Cameron, and Brayden Peters for each scoring a goal and Brayden Shorey for the assist.   Logan who faced 18 shots on the Ingersoll nets.   To our entire team for a great effort as we had 15 shots on the Delhi net.  Defense, Sam, Liam, Aaron and Henry great effort, Brayden P., Brayden S., Kayden, Kalvin, Carson, Kingsley, Eli, Cameron  and Aiden on Forward/Center we saw great plays by everyone on the team.

Congratulations to Cameron who got player of the game! And to Kalvin who got the hardest worker at practice this week.
