Game 7 Nov. 4th and Game 8 Nov. 11th
Game 7 – Nov 4th 2018 Ingersoll Express Novice LL Butterworths vs Tillsonburg Tornados 2
With the music pumping in the change room we were off to a good start in period 1 and it was very fast paced. #7 Sam showing some hustle, and #10 Henry doing some great defense. Goalie Logan made an early great save. #17 Kingsley had a breakaway but no goal. #17 was not to be deterred and got another shot at 7:44 and our first goal. At 5:44 we got our second goal #16 Kayden Thaler with assist by #14 Carson. Tillsonburg got their first goal at 5:21 and at 3 minutes in it was already a great game. Some great action by #8 Aiden (Diesel) getting it back to the Tillsonburg end and #4 Liam defense stopping two shots on net. With 1:34 left on the first Ingersoll increased the lead 3-1 with a goal by #2 Brayden.
Second period started off with a shot by #17 at 9:50 that went off the post and Ingersoll quickly regained the puck and working together #14 Carson and #17 Kingsley, we got the goal at 9:43. Tillsonburg was not giving us any breaks, and came back with a goal at 13 seconds later at 9:30. With just thirty seconds into the period and a goal each! The game was fought hard by both teams and was very evenly matched. The second period saw two separate penalties against Tillsonburg for tripping with no goals for Ingersoll on the power play but one for Tillsonburg at 7:46. Ingersoll had lots of great attempts by #17, #18 #14 and #2. Again the entire team was working hard.
Period three we thought the teams might be getting tired but they kept it going. Logan had a great save halfway through the period and with two minutes left we had two great attempts on the Tillsonburg net. With 2.4 seconds left in the third Tillsonburg scored and it was fantastic game for both teams.

Game 8 - Nov 11 2018 Ingersoll Express Novice LL vs Delhi Rockets
1st Period - Delhi started out with the first attempt on the Ingersoll net at 9:50 we quickly regained the puck with an attempt on the Delhi net at 9:26 but no goal. Keeping the puck in their end Kayden #16 got control of the puck and got the puck to #18 Cameron for the first goal at 9:10. Delhi tied the game at 8:29 with their first goal. The next few minutes some great plays for #8 Aiden #16, #9 Brayden S. and at least three saves by our goalie Logan. At 5:32 Delhi took the lead with their second goal. At 2:12 Ingersoll tied the game with a good shot by #17 Kingsley. Delhi attempted to take the lead again in the last minute of the period but another save by our goalie.
2nd Period - Delhi again started out fast with an attempt on Ingersoll at 9:49 with a good save by our goalie. At 5:16 Ingersoll broke the tie with a goal by #2 Brayden assisted by #8 Aiden and shout out to #16 Kayden. At 4:30 defense #12 Aaron got a great chance and took the puck all the way down getting us our fourth goal. Delhi was not backing down and replied 14 seconds later with their third goal. No more goals for either team in the second but saw some great action with a nice pass from #7 to #17, a fantastic save by Logan at 3:19, great plays by #9 Brayden and #11 Kelvin.
3rd Period - Again it was Delhi with the puck, great job defense #10 Henry in stopping the attempt. Ingersoll regained control of the puck and it was #14 going for the net with #17 right with him. Goal at 8:17 for #14 Carson. At 7:06 we got our 6th goal #16 Kayden. The last half of the third saw lots of great plays and players trying new positions. There were attempts on the Delhi net by #17 and multiple saves by our goalie Logan. We saw great speed from #17 Kingsley, nice moves by #14 Carson, and great plays by #5 Eli and #16 Kayden. It was again a great effort by the entire team with six goals by six different team players! Final Score 6-3
Congrats to #18 Cameron on his first goal of the season, #17 Kingsley for his 7th, #2 Brayden P for his 3rd, Aaron #12 on his 2nd, #14 Carson on his 10th, #16 Kayden on his 2nd goal and #8 Aiden on his 4th assist of the season. A great team effort once again! Thank you to the coaching staff as the team is really coming together.
