Round 3 OMHA playdowns--game 1
This past Tuesday night, the Ingersoll Tremblett's YIG Express opened up the third round OMHA play downs against their arch rival Ayr Flames in Ayr.
This was a game the Spencer Krajewski took over for the Express. He made save after save in the first 2 periods keeping his team alive. Not to be out done the goalie for Ayr came up big in the first two periods making great saves on the Express. In the third, Ayr would come out flying and score the opening goal of the game. The Express would then start to put some pressure on and Jeremy Stiles would take a shot on net and Taylor Murray would pounce on the rebound tying the game much to the excitement of his teamates. No other scoring would happen in the third and the game was going into overtime. What else would you expect from these two teams that are very evenly matched. In overtime, the Tremblett's YIG Express would come out flying with a breakaway but again the Ayr net minder came up big. As the period would go on, Ayr caught a break as a defencemen lost an edge and they were able to capitalize and score the game winner. Final score 2-1.
