This past Tuesday night the Ingersoll Tremblett's YIG Express hosted the Caledonia Thunder in game 1 of the second round of the OMHA playdowns.
It was a quiet first period for both teams as it seemed that both teams were feeling each other out. In the second the Thunder ran into some penalty trouble and when it looked like the Tremblett's YIG Express were about to break the tie, they ran into a very hot goalie who stopped everything in his path which then resulted in the opposition scoring a "shorty". The score was 1-0 for Caledonia going into the third. The Ingersoll Tremblett's YIG Express continued to apply pressure but had nothing to show for it. Caledonia was able to add to their lead and then scored anther "shorty" midway through he period making the final 3-0. The Express peppered the goalie with shots all game and will head to Caledonia on Saturday afternoon looking to even the series up.
