December 10th Butterworth's Novice LL win against the Simcoe Warriors
On Saturday, December 10th, the Ingersoll Butterworth Services Express played host to the Simcoe Warriors. The Warriors opened the scoring in the 1st period and took a 1-0 lead into the 2nd period. Early in the 2nd period a Warriors player broke free for a breakaway but was denied by Nolan Crane.
Following this, Colton Thompson would give a perfect breakout pass to Nathan Wilson who would then find Douglas Cattrysse breaking up the middle of the ice, Cattrysse buried his shot to tie the game, 1-1. Douglas Cattrysse would score again unassisted on a breakaway in the 2nd period. Heading into the 3rd period, tied 2-2, Douglas Cattrysse would complete the hat trick scoring, unassisted, early in the 3rd period. Colton Thompson would add the eventually game winning goal, unassisted, 2 mins later giving the Express a 4-3 win! Tyson Weber played a great, solid, defensive game in front of Nolan Crane earning the player of the game award.
