Butterworth's Novice LL win against Six Nations December 4th
On Sunday, December 4th, the Ingersoll Butterworth Services Express played host to Six Nations # 2 team.
Colton Thompson opened the scoring for the Express with an unassisted goal followed by a goal from Tanner Strom with assist going to Colton Thompson. Heading into the 2nd period of play with the score tied 2-2, Douglas Cattrysse would score to put the Express ahead in the 2nd period with the assist going to Colton Thompson. Douglas Cattrysse would then put the puck top shelf scoring again in the 2nd period with the assist going to Tanner Strom. With 8 minutes remaining in the 3rd period, a Six Nations player was unfortunately hurt and the game was called with the Express ahead 4-3. The Six Nations player, after some time on the ice, was able to skate off on his own. Damon Elliot and Douglas Catrysse are credited with some excellent backchecking, showing up to assist their goalie.
