The Port Stanley Jr Sailors would net the first goal Monday
night at the Port Stanley Arena at just 14:30 of the first period. The lead would be a short-lived as #18 Bram
O’Connor, assisted by #9 Ryan Cooper (A) and #14 Ben Jentz netted one for Carmeuse
at 12:13. Cooper would later lend his
assistance to #7 Tyler Arts who made the score 2-1 at 2:30 of the period.
At 13:35 of the second period, Port Stanley started the period as they did the first, scoring the first goal. Carmeuse captain, #15 Dawson Kays, assisted by #6 Eric Savoie and Arts, put Carmeuse back in the lead, scoring the last goal of the period at 10:08.
Savoie would put a little insurance in the net at 11:10 of the third period. Port Stanley would narrow the lead at 2:30, but at 1:15, Savoie, assisted by Kays, left little doubt that Carmeuse would net the win.
Carmeuse hosts the Dorchester Dragons tomorrow night at the Ingersoll District Memorial Centre, where the puck will drop at 9:30.
