Summary of C.E.P.U. First Half
Ingersoll Bantam Local League #1 – C.E.P.U. Local 3264
The 1st half of the season has been a very successful one for the Bantam C.E.P.U. LL Team. In League play C.E.P.U. finished in 1st Place overall for the 14 game schedule. Getting off to a good start the Ingersoll team showed that they would be a team to contend with for any team that they faced. It was not until their 12th game of the regular season that they suffered their first loss of the season to a tough team from Norwich. With that loss followed by 2 more wins to close out the first half the Ingersoll C.E.P.U. team posted an impressive record of 10-1-3 for 23 points just edging out Norwich who finished with 22 points. The team has been playing well and every player contributes to the effort each game.
Besides the regular League the C.E.P.U. team participated in
the Ingersoll Bantam Tournament on the weekend of November 17th and
18th. The team played well
throughout the tournament posting a 3-1-0 record. The only game that the team lost (4-1) was to
a very good team from Shomberg who ended up being the overall Tournament champs
beating up each team they faced. The loss
to Shomberg put the C.E.P.U. team into the B Side of the tournament and they
would eventually persevere defeating Port Stanley in the B Final 5-3.
The second half of the season kicks off for C.E.P.U. on
Saturday, January 12th in Six Nations as the team strives to win the
overall A League Championship competing against 7 other teams. The 2nd half will be challenging,
but Coach Roger Campbell is confident that with consistent effort that the team
has the skill to compete versus all of the teams and has the possibility of
winning it all.
The C.E.P.U. Team would like to thank our sponsor Local 3264
and our fans/family for their support through the 1st half of the
season. Go C.E.P.U.
