Glenda Ponsonby Ing/Oxford Reality win Southern Counties
The Ingersoll Express Peewee Rep team beat St. George on Sunday for the championship in Paris.
The Express chalked up another shut out with Noah Robinson being a brick wall in net stopping everything St.George could throw at him, including two amazing saves that would make sports centre in the morning.
The game would be rough and fast with the men in stripes putting the whistles away and letting the lads play.The score would remain 0-0 through the first period with both teams hungry for the all important first one. On to the end of the second they drove hard with the score board still reading 0-0.
As we went into the third period the entire crowd was standing knee deep in fingernails as the action went back and fourth. Then the lid would be blown off the pressure cooker as the first goal would be scored by Keegan Clark assisted by line mates Alex Foster and Clayton Hammond. Later into the third Keegan Clark would get the only other goal to be scored assisted by Alex Foster and Nathan Gould. The Express would play smart and hold them to 2-0 till the final buzzer.
The entire team consisting of Noah Robinson,Jayden Purdy,Alex Foster,Tanner Gray,Matt Berzins,Anthony Ziraldo,Clayton Hammond,Nathan Gould,Maxx Shelton,Justin Holmes,Ethan Stevens,Keegan Clark,Nolan Adkins Jacob Branderhorst all helped to get here and would like to thank the coaching staff of Jared Boersma,Matt Duncan,Roger Shelton and Scott Gould for making this one of the boys best seasons in more ways than one.
