IPC Securities bring home 1st win !
"What a great way to start a Saturday" said Dave MacArthur, father of Jake MacArthur on the IPC Securities Tyke team after watching the team skate away with their first win of the season in Belmont this past Saturday Jan 7th 2012.
The game didn't start off the best as a quick goal lifted high into the top corner by Belmont opened the scoring right after the puck drop. IPC's Goalie for this game, Graham Cornelisse stood little chance at making a save. But he seemed to shake off that first goal and made countless awesome saves after a strong Belmont team persisted time and time again. Then, IPC's Adam Vandyk tied the game at 1 on a break away from center ice. IPC Securities was back in the game. Adam added another goal just minutes later to lift the struggling Tyke team to a 2-1 lead. Chase Ellis capitalized on a Belmont give away and netted his first of two goals this morning to eventually make the score 4-1. But Belmont didn't give up and make things easy, again they forced the play deep into Ingersoll's zone and scored 3 times to even things up once again with only minutes remaining. Once again, Adam Vandyk answered the excitement and put Ingersoll back in the lead with a great break away goal. Cameron Freeman put the finishing touches on the game by scoring with only 1 minute remaining to make the final score 6-4 IPC Securities.
