Notes
Schonberger & DeBruyn Power Carmeuse Peewee's past Tillsonburg
Noah Schonberger and Adam DeBruyn each had 2 goals for the Carmeuse Lime and Stone Peewee LL team on Tuesday night to lift Ingersoll to a 6-2 win against the visiting team from Tillsonburg.
John Ryan opened the scoring for Ingersoll in the 1st period when he slammed home a goal on a feed from behind the net from DeBruyn. Ingersoll would take a 2 goal lead when Schonberger recorded his first of two goals with assists going to Johnathan Ager and Jack Skillings.
Ingersoll would then extend their lead to 4-0 after the 2nd period with DeBruyn and Malcolm Rowe each scoring on unassisted efforts. For DeBruyn this would extend his goal streak to 4 consecutive games.
After DeBruyn tallied his 2nd goal early in the 3rd period Tillsonburg would return fire with 2 goals of their own from Wes Hopper and Braiden Clarke to pull within 3. Schonberger shut the door with his 2nd goal late in the 3rd, unassisted.
Kenny Moodie played a solid game in net to record the win. Coach Campbell was very pleased with the whole team effort at both ends on the ice which was lead by solid defensive play from Warren McSwiggan, Malcolm Rowe, Kevin Cox and Nick Dimmers.
Noah Schonberger was awarded Hustler of the Game for his solid play at both ends of the ice. Ingersoll takes to the ice next on the road in Port Dover on Friday night at 7 PM.
