Canadian Tire Atom Local League team traveled to Port Dover to face off for a great game of hockey. The first period proved to be a battle between the two teams ending up scoreless. In the second period Port Dover was the first to show on the scoreboard.
The Canadian Tire team would not quit and continued to fight back hard. In the third period their efforts were rewarded when Hayden Homewood hammered the puck into the net, assisted by Travis Mounsteven. Both teams fought hard as the score was tied at 1-1. Canadian Tire’s defense worked hard to support goalie Cameron Cooke as he continued to hold off Port Dover.
Late in the third period Canadian Tire earned their second goal when Eric Thorne scored the winning goal assisted by Travis Mounsteven. Canadian Tire celebrated proudly with their 2-1 victory.
