Verspeeten Cartage vs Belmont - Feb. 19/2011
This was a successful game for Verspeeten Cartage in the Carmeuse Lime Tournament. The first goal of the game was scored by Tanner Moon from Aaron Lonsberry in the first half of period 1. In the final second of the first period, Tyler Goyette scored from a pass from Cody Morrison to end the period on an exciting note.
Belmont came back strong in the second period scoring two goals to tie up the game. The Ingersoll boys held off Belmont during a Belmont powerplay to keep the game tied.
In the final period, Verspeeten Cartage scored another goal on an Ingersoll powerplay. This time Nick Likins netted the puck with help from Lonsberry. Moon scored again shortly after from a pass from Lonsberry and Likins. Ingersoll then gained a powerplay but Belmont managed to hold them off. When Belmont gained a powerplay they managed to slip the puck by goalie Brady Harris.
Final score 4 - 3 Ingersoll.
