Holmes nets hat trick.
Matthew Holmes led Ingersoll Thamesford Pizza in the Carmuse Lime Invitational Saturday February 20.
Belmont opened the scoring, but Ingersoll evened it up with four minutes left in the first period. Ingersoll then pulled ahead, scoring the lone goal of the second period. In the third period, penalties proved costly for Ingersoll. Belmont scored one of three third period goals while on the power play, and Ingersoll was shorthanded in the final minutes of the game. Holmes scored his third goal of the game to keep the score close, and Ingersoll pulled the goalie with seconds left, but they were unable to get the equalizer.
