Novice Express skate to a tight checking 1-1 tie in Norwich
After a tough loss in Aylmer the week before, the Searles Motor Products Novice Express was looking to rebound against a tough Norwich Team. After falling behind by 1 early in the first period, the goal tending duo of Jayden Purdy and Jacob Ross held Norwich at bay for the remainder of the game. While it took the Searles Motor Products Novice Express a couple of periods to adjust to the large ice surface, Matt Berzins managed to level the game at 1’s in the third period on a typical Berzins goal mouth scramble. The tenacious Berzins fought off the Norwich defenders to score a beauty. Perhaps the Searles Motor Products Novice Express were looking ahead to their rematch with Aylmer on Thursday but they managed to finish the game with a hard fought 1 -1 tie.
