On February 25th, the Searles Motor Products Novice Express dominated
Port Dover posting a 3-0 victory in their Southern Counties play downs. Maxx Shelton opened the scoring in the first
period with an Orr like rush and the Express never looked back. Riley Ellis and Parker “Wheels” Hodgson added
insurance markers to seal the game!
The Searles Motor Products Novice Express played one of their most dominating games of the year in a 3-0 victory over Port Dover. The return of coach Berzins from his first hand Swine Flu investigations appeared to spark the team. Maxx Shelton made one of his patented end to end rushes to open the scoring at 7:56 of the first period. Riley Ellis added an insurance marker at 6:24 of the second period assisted by Ethan Emerson and Justin Holmes. The Searles Motor Products Novice Express kept play in the Port Dover end for most of the night but Jacob Ross and Jayden Purdy made the key saves when called upon to preserve the shut out. Parker “Wheels” Hodgson scored one of his classic goals at 2:57 of the third with assists to Clayton Hammond and Keegan Clark.
