Express at Huskies - Dec 2nd
On a sunny warm December day, the Dove Dental Peewee AE's headed to New Hamburg to take on the Huskies for their 2nd meeting of the regular season.
New Hamburg set the tone scoring less than a minute into period 1. Our Express boys settled in a bit after this & were able to get some shots on net themselves. With 1:25 left, New Hamburg was able to get on the board again. End of 1: 2 - 0 New Hamburg.
Period 2 had New Hamburg outshoot Ingersoll significantly throughout the whole period. With 1:25 left, #6 T. Murray was driving to the net 1 on 1 when he was taken down & rewarded with a penalty shot. After both Murray & the Huskies goaltender received their instructions, we waited for the whistle to blow. Murray took off, made some moves & then shot five hole to put the puck into the net. End of 2: New Hamburg 2 Ingersoll 1.
Period 3 had the shots pretty even by both teams. Despite some amazing saves by #1 T. Belore, New Hamburg was able to score 3 times. However with 1:37 left, Ingersoll was able to net their 2nd of the game. #10 L. Pare made a pass up the ice to #6 Murray. He took it into the New Hamburg end, took a shot, grabbed his own rebound, and slid it past the goalie for his 2nd of the game.
