On Feb 28th Dove Dental Peewee AE's headed to Port Dover to take on the rep team for the 2nd meeting of the Southern Counties play downs.
Express outshot Port Dover through the entire game but their goalie made some great saves throughout the entire game. In return #1 E. Spence made just as many amazing saves.
Period 1 seen Port Dover get on the board first at 8:31 of the 1st period.
Period 2 seen a lot of back & forth action throughout the whole period. Great saves & back checking allowed Port Dover to get only 1 shot the entire period.
Period 3 finally seen the Dove Dentals get one past the Dover goalie. At 10:49, on the power play, #5 G. Folkema took the puck into the Port Dover end. He dropped the puck to #9 K. Clifford who shot top corner. Then with 3:55 left, #2 E. Cuthbert took the puck over the blue line, shot at the goalie & the puck bounced off him & went into the net. Then with 30 seconds left in the period & an empty net, #15 C. Freeman shot from the blue line into the net.
