Finish Novemeber And Start Of December Action

November 24 Ingersoll Express #1 faced off against Delhi #3.  Neither of the teams had lost before this game. Unfortunately, there has to be a winner and a loser and Delhi came out victorious with a 3-1 win. You can't win them all and it is humbling to lose every now and again. Ingersoll Carmeuse Lime's only goal was scored by Turner with help from Mullis.

Dec 2-3 Ingersoll Carmeuse Lime travelled to the Haliburton Highlands for the Silver stick tournament. Their first game Saturday morning was against Ennismore Eagles. All I can say is "oh my". Ennismore was a very physical team even first thing in the morning. Ingersoll fought hard but lost 3-1 with their only goal going to Mullis with an assist from Bergman.
That wasn't the way the boys thought the tournament would start.  The boys regrouped and went out for their 2nd game of the day with a hunger for the win. Ingersoll was up against the Beeton Stingers. Ingersoll looked small beside the Beeton team as they shook hands, but that did not discourage the boys as they walked away with a 4-0 win. Spence played a perfect game .  There was nothing getting passed him as he was on fire!!! Ingersoll goals go to Bergman (3) and Turner with assists from Krajewski, Turner, Bergman, Mullis and Brown.
Game three was Ingersoll versus the Noble King Knights. Ingersoll had to win this game to have a chance to move on.  The pressure was on and Ingersoll went out strong showing that they deserve to play in the semi finals. Ingersoll won 7-2 with goals from Pare, Heeney, Bergman (3), Turner, and Freeman. Assists from Heeney, Krajewski, Brown and Turner.
This left Ingersoll in a three-way tie for first but thanks to Spence for stopping all those shots Ingersoll won the tie because they had the least amount of goals against and least amount of penalty minutes
Ingersoll met up with Lindsey for the semi finals Sunday morning. Lindsey came out strong. Ingersoll didn't know what hit them. Lindsay was like a well oiled machine that was unstoppable, by the end of the first period Lindsey was up 5-0. Ingersoll caught onto their game in the second period and wouldn't go down without a fight (and a few penalties LOL!) Ingersoll lost 7-2 with goals from Bergman and Heeney, both goals were assisted by Parkhill.
Lindsey went on and won the Silver stick tournament. We wish them all the luck in the next round as they were a great team.
