On Tuesday December 13th
the Ingersoll Tirecraft Atom boys played the Port Dover Pirates. The Ingersoll
Tirecraft were still on a high from
their on the road win against Waterford the previous Saturday.
In the 1st, Ingersoll would set the tone of the game early with #5, Garret Folkema ,scoring in the first 10 seconds of play on a breakaway goal. The Pirates tried to regrouped but with Ingersoll’s strong defensive play and goal tending by #33, Spencer Krajewski ,they were not able to capitalize on any opportunities. With 33 seconds left in the first it would be Ingersoll’s #6, Lucas Folkema who would score to make the game 2-0 with assists going #18 Owen Lively and #19 Keifer Sim-Currah.
The second period would see Lucas score his 2nd goal of the game on an assist from #10, Owen Dickinson. Ingersoll would manage to hang on to the game only letting one goal in in the third to end it 3-1 for the Tirecraft boys.
