Express Silent Thunder
Extend Winning Streak to Three GamesThursday night at the Madhouse on Mutual the Ingersoll Express Searles Motor Products Novice REP team hosted the Caledonia Thunder. In the first frame the Express were awarded a power play, the momentum was short lived as Caledonia managed to open the scoring short handed to take a 1-0 lead.
The goal seemed to wake up the mighty little Express Train as Ingersoll answered quickly with a goal of their own when Urijah Jewkes (Ethan Kish / Jeremy Stiles) banged in a loose puck to even the contest at one goal apiece. In the second period Will Johnson received two sweet passes from Kolten Winkworth / Brody Huitema used his outside speed to ring a goal to the far post and in. Johnson answered in the third when Sam House and Urijah Jewkes won consecutive battles along the wall to hit a streaking Johnson for the insurance third goal.
Riley Vyse made nine saves in the contest for the win.
The Express travel to Dorchester this weekend.
Friday night they open against the home team the Dorchester Dragons. Puck drop is 6:00pm
