The
Minor Midget Rep team hosted the Lambton Shores Predators on Oct 10th. The visitors were quick to pounce on their prey by getting on the scoreboard within the first 2 ½ minutes of play.
The Express seen several PP opportunities and took advantage with Lednicky (unassisted) scoring to tie up the game. Ingersoll battled hard to kill off their penalties. A quick wrist shot by Lindsay (Lednicky, Box) and the Express lead 2 – 1 after 1 period of play.
2nd period started out with Ingersoll being a man down for 17 seconds. A once-in-a-life time basketball goal went in by Schneider (Dimmers). Campbell (Lednicky, Arts) continued the scoring frenzy with 8:37 remaining on the clock. Catry (Lindsay) roofed a beauty from the point and Dimmers managed to find the back of the net on a saucer pass from Lednicky. Ingersoll takes a commanding lead of 6-1 ending out the 2nd period.
A fluky side angle shot by Dimmers (Campbell) was the sole goal for the Express this period. With 3 minutes remaining, the Predators put a nice one by our netminder Malchesky (who had a great game).
