Sometimes you win and Sometimes…..
Saturday Jan 18th, Ingersoll’s Verspeeten Cartage/Carmeuse Lime Pee Wee LL team headed to Six Nations for their second playoff game.

It was an aggressively played game with both teams visiting the box several times.  The first period ended scoreless.   Second period ended with a score of 3 to 0 for Six Nations.  A minute into the first period Devon Jones scored Ingersoll’s first goal with the assistance of Ethan Vlemmix.  Six Nations followed quickly with 2 goals in the next 2 minutes.  With 4 min left on the clock Ingersoll scored their second goal with Owen Longlade assisting Ethan Vlemmix. Six Nations scored their final goal less then a min later.  It was a hard fought 2 goals by Ingersoll and a hard loss.  Final score of 6 to 2 for Six Nations.

The team played their third playoff game Monday January 20th where they hosted Port Dover at I.D.M.C.  Port Dover was off and running and scored less then a minute into the first period.  Ingersoll held their ground and held Port Dover to their single goal.  First period ended with a score of 1 to 0 for Port Dover.   This was definitely an edge of your seat game! Kiara Haley assisted Keegan Purdy in scoring Ingersoll’s first goal halfway through the second period.   Camden McDougall scored Ingersoll’s second goal shortly after with the assistance of Colin Dench.  Third period was spent with the team on the defense to keep their winning lead; all the players did a great job, worked together and made some great plays. Final score of 2 to 1 for Ingersoll.  It takes the whole team to win a game, and those that scored couldn’t have done it without the help of their teammates.  Congratulations to winning your second playoff game!  Megan Longlade and Brodi Carbough for making some great saves, and the rest of the players, David Timleck, Nolan Costa, Cole Millard, Matthew Debryun, Ethan Laporte and Nathan Graham.  Looking forward to seeing more edge of my seat action when Ingersoll travels to Port Dover on Saturday January 25th to play their Rep team followed by Monday January 27th where Ingersoll will be hosting the Port Dover LL team at 8 pm.
