So it begins.....
Monday January 13th Ingersoll’s Verspeeten Cartage/Carmeuse Lime Pee Wee LL team hosted Simcoe for their first game of the season.

Four minutes into the first period and the crowd cheers!  Camden McDougall scores Ingersoll’s first goal.  Less then 2 min later Simcoe follows suit to end the first period with a tie score.  Second period continues with both teams playing well.  Camden McDougall has the puck and he’s off on a breakaway to score Ingersoll’s second goal.  Not far behind him, Simcoe does it again and scores their second goal to once again end the period with a tie score.

Third period begins as both teams step it up to get that final wining goal.  Ethan Laporte and Owen Longlade make some beautiful passes to assist Keegan Purdy in scoring goal #3.  Simcoe slips through Ingersoll’s defense minutes later to tie the score.  With half of the second period still to go, it’s anyone’s game.   Both teams continue to play strong.   Devin Jones and Kiara Haley did a great job screening the goalie and working with all of their other teammates, Colin Dench, David Timleck, Nolan Costa, Ethan Vlemmix and Cole Millard to defend their team goal while attempting to score a fourth goal.  Both Megan Longlade and Brodi Carbaugh were kept busy and made some awesome saves.   Less then 2 minutes on the clock Nathan Graham gets the puck and bam!!  It’s in!  The team goes on the defense and they do it!! The buzzer sounds with a final score of 4 to 3 for Ingersoll.  Congratulations to all the players on winning your first game of the play offs.  Let’s keep the streak going at your next game Saturday January 18th in Six Nations followed by a home game on Monday January 20th @ 8pm where Ingersoll will be hosting Port Dover @ I.D.M.C.
