2-1 Win in Port Dover for Atom L.L. Team Tirecraft
Team Tirecraft defeated Port Dover #2 with a score of 2-1 on Sunday February 16th.
Lots of back to forth action happened throughout the first period. Team Tirecraft killed off a two minute tripping penalty. Ingersoll took advantage with twenty five seconds left. #14 C. Clifford scored assisted by #10 E. Robinson.
Team Tirecraft started off the second period with a two minute penalty for high sticking. They succeeded in holding their own and preventing Port Dover from scoring. Port Dover received a two minute tripping penalty. Despite the extra player advantage, Ingersoll was unable to score. The second period ended with Team Tirecraft leading 1-0.
The excitement continued into the third period. Simcoe tied the game up with a goal three minutes into the period. One minute later, #11 Z. Lewis scored assisted by #14 C. Clifford and #18 E. Martire. Both teams received a two minute slashing penalty two minutes later. Ingersoll received a body checking penalty and a too many men on the ice penalty shortly afterwards. Team Tirecraft did a great job holding off Port Dover from scoring. Final score of the game 2-1 for Team Tirecraft!!
