Team Anderson Appliances faced Team Butterworths in a friendly exhibition game on Dec. 30th. It was a close 2-1 won for Team Butterworths.
It was another cold day in the arena as Team Anderson Appliances faced Team Butterworths in their exhibition game before the end of 2013 . It is amazing to see how evenly matched these two teams are. Both have improved so much from the beginning of the hockey season. Not for a lack of trying from both teams, the first & the second period ended scoreless.
It wasn't until the third period that things heated up. Team Anderson started things off with a goal 62 seconds into the period. Team Butterworths got their chance with just over five minutes left in the period. #5 C. Groves passed the puck over to #16 E. Cuthbert who tied the game. The plays continued, the spectators were anxious to see who was going to win. With a mere two minutes left, #16 E. Cuthbert scored unassisted, winning the game 2-1. What a great display of sportsmanship & determination from both teams!
