Dairy Queen Ingersoll Tyke's Freeze Belmont
The Dairy Queen Ingersoll Tyke team hosted Belmont this week on Saturday, November 14. The kids played an excellent game, showing off a number of the skills that they have been practicing since the beginning of the season.
This week another group of players stepped up and provided the scoring for the team, helping to spread around the offense. The team started off quite well, scoring 2 goals in the first five minutes of the game. The Belmont team held their own though, and kept Ingersoll off the scoreboard for another twenty five minutes. However, the Dairy Queen Tykes were able to sneak a couple more past the Belmont goaltender as time wound down. Belmont was finally able to solve the Ingersoll goaltender with two minutes to go in the game, breaking up the shut out.
Scorers for Dairy Queen Ingersoll Tykes were Ethan Laporte, Logan White, Aidan Berto and Ben White. Thanks to Madelyn Nighsmith from the IP team who came up to play with the boys and help fill in a roster spot. The Dairy Queen Ingersoll Tyke team is off for another week, with their next game scheduled for Saturday, November 28th in Port Stanley.
