Game 1 - Huntsville Tournament. Carmeuse fall to Norwich
The boys gathered in Huntsville for their first away tournament this weekend. Their one and only game for Friday was against Norwich who play against us in the Southern Counties league.
We seemed to struggle today as we could not seem to get anything going on the big ice surface at the Canada Summit Center. Tanner Belore stood tall, but the speed and tenacity of their opponents had us backed on our heels, and 8 minor penalties against only one called against our opponent did not allow us to get any momentum going at all. We were unable to sustain any offensive pressure and were held off the scoresheet yet again as we fell 5-0 in game 1. We will need a stronger performance on Saturday to get us back on track.
The Express will get a good night sleep as we do not play until noon tomorrow. Best of the luck the rest of the way!
